You can’t be in Shreveport ,La without eating some real soul food. I was told to go to Taylor’s Catering and Soul Food, and this place did not disappoint! In Louisiana they cook with what is called the holy Trinity Onions, Celery and Bell peppers in every dish.I explained to the owner that I was allergic to onions and they made me some Neck Bones and Beef tips in a gravy without onions. This is a 5 star soul food establishment.
If you‘re looking for the food your Grandmother made then this I the place and the portions are just like Grandma‘s. Eat here with confidence that no matter what you order it‘s gonna be wonderful. Oh you must have a piece of hot watering cornbread with your meal..!
Once a week, I stop in at Taylor‘s for lunch! The food is always hot, seasoned, and flavorful. You don‘t have to worry about them being stingy either b/c you ALWAYS get plenty of food. Sometimes enough for dinner. It‘s cafeteria style, so there is no wait time unless you are getting seafood. it‘s cooked to order. Don‘t skip the Kool-Aid or any of the many homemade desserts. I always get the banana pudding.
